People Just Get Engaged

My wonderful co-worker and beautiful friend Cortney over at Our Fishy Family got engaged a few weeks ago.  So obviously it was the perfect excuse to get everyone together and celebrate with a luau themed BBQ.  I even got to spend time with my long-lost friends Anna and Molly.  I have missed them so much.  It was so nice to chill and help Cortney and her man celebrate this happy occasion.  I am so happy for her and her cute family.  Can't wait for the wedding next year!  I love me some weddings!  Here are some pics of the party.  Love you Cortney!

I Hate Goodbyes

I had to say a pretty tough goodbye in March to my closest friend in CoMO.  She moved to Texas (#worststateofalltime) for a better job opportunity.  I am terrible with goodbyes in general but having to say it to my heterosexual life partner was pretty horrendous.  Add in that I barely had any time to mentally and emotionally prepare for her departure.  There are just not enough words you can say to someone you really love to let them know how much they mean to you.  I miss her every day.  I hope she has fun and enjoys being in Texas (#worststateofalltime)  Here are some pics from our last night hanging out in CoMO.

I had to say yet another goodbye last month.  My dear friend Molly from Molly's Musing moved back to KC to attend nursing school.  I have not known Molly long but she has become a wonderful friend.  I really miss her.  I am excited for her to start school and fulfill her dreams but my selfish side wishes she would come back and save me from the boredom that consumed my life.  At least we have FB, Blogger, and Twitter (not to mention phone calls and texts) to keep track of each other.  Here is her farewell potluck at work.

Ready For Some Football

Ok-I am going to try to catch up on the recent events of my life.  I finally uploaded the pics from my camera.  So let's try to go in order.

First-a few weeks ago, my parents came for a weekend of sports.  On the Saturday we went to the annual Black & Gold football game.  We got awesome seats on the 50 yard line.  Even though it was cold, we enjoyed seeing some of the newbies on the team do their thing.  Hope this is going to be a good season!  On that Sunday we hit up a Mizzou baseball game and a softball game.  I love me some young gentlemen in baseball pants!  Oh and our softball team is kickass.  Here are some highlights:

Quick Update

So I have tons to blog about but don't have the time right now.  Plus need to upload some pics to go along with the content.

Here is just a quick update.  I am getting sick.  And it is miserable.  Work is stressful and lonely since my friends Molly and Anna left.  I don't see my lovely office mate near enough.

But I need have a good weekend.  Autism walk Saturday morning.  Shopping Saturday afternoon.  I'll post pics of my sweet purchases. For now I'll leave you with a pic of what my Sunday looked like.
